At Fear Free, our mission is to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety & stress in pets by inspiring and educating the people who care for them.
Dr. Merkwan first learned about Fear Free in 2016, while working in a veterinary hospital in Omaha. He became a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional in 2016 and has since tried to provide fear free services to all species going forward. In 2019, Dr. Merkwan became a Fear Free Certified Elite Veterinary Professional continuing his journey with Fear Free. Since then, Dr. Merkwan has become a Fear Free Certified Avian Veterinary Professional and a Fear Free Certified Equine Veterinary Professional.
